1. How does the offline database work?
VestedHealth bundles a pre-compiled SQLite database directly inside the app wrapper. It catalogs ownership details for hundreds of major US food brands, healthcare insurers, and pharmaceutical makers. You do not need internet access to trace these. For unknown items, the app will query Open Food Facts or OpenFDA if internet is active, and cache them locally for future offline scans.
2. Why was my medical bill flagged with a warning?
If you audited a billing code and received a warning, our algorithm matched the billed cost against standard federal Medicare reimbursement baselines. A mark-up of over 250% is flagged as a "Private Equity Markup" because it signifies inflated margins that represent premium costs. Use the built-in negotiation playbook to request itemized invoices and contest these margins.
3. Is my data secure?
Yes. All scan history and medical bill logs are stored locally on your device in secure app sandboxes. We do not use remote storage, analytics trackers, or user registrations. If App Lock is enabled, it uses your device's native Face ID/Touch ID systems, ensuring your data remains completely private.
