At VestedHealth, we believe that transparency shouldn't cost you your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in the VestedHealth iOS application and website.

1. Our Core Principle: 100% On-Device Processing

VestedHealth is architected from the ground up as a zero-knowledge local utility. This means:

  • All barcode scans, search queries, and medical bill audits run entirely on your device.
  • We do not operate backend servers that collect, store, or process your personal health or scan data.
  • Your barcode history, searched insurers/pharmaceutical firms, and procedure audits are stored exclusively inside your device's sandboxed local SQLite database.

2. Biometric Data (Face ID / Touch ID)

If you enable App Lock in VestedHealth settings, authentication is handled entirely by your iOS system via Apple's native LocalAuthentication framework. VestedHealth never accesses, stores, or transmits your face or fingerprint data.

3. External API Mappings

To support dynamic queries and scan fallbacks, the application makes direct, secure calls to public clinical and legal APIs (such as Open Food Facts, OpenCorporates, OpenFDA, and NIH NLM HCPCS). These queries are sent as direct client-to-API calls. We do not intermediate these queries or collect any logging profiles on what you search.

4. Information You Choose to Share

VestedHealth allows you to sign in with your Apple ID. This is stored purely locally to manage app state and authentication. If you export a PDF concentration report or a bill negotiation checklist, that document is compiled locally on your iPhone and shared using the native iOS share sheet. We never see or have access to your exported reports.

5. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising

We do not include third-party advertising trackers or user profiling SDKs inside the app. To measure landing page performance, we utilize standard Google Analytics which processes aggregated visit counts without tracking individual user identities.
